Somebody set Heroes up the bomb

May 15, 2007 9:16 am

This post is only superficially about Heroes.

Everytime someone says “boom” on this show (which has started to be several times per episode), I keep coming back to Bab 5:
Garibaldi: No boom?
Sinclair: No boom.
Ivanova: No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There’s always a boom tomorrow.
[Sinclair and Garibaldi exchange an exasperated look and wander off.]
Ivanova: What?! Look, somebody’s got to have some damn perspective around here. Boom. Sooner or later. BOOM!

Last night’s Heroes was pretty awesome, though. Don’t you wish you could meet someone in the elevator with “Didn’t I throw you out a window?” (Which could practically be the motto of Angel…one of the top ten words to describe that show is “defenestration.” Hold that thought for the official Angel drinking game.)

I love that Sulu has a recurring role on Heroes. And the character manages to surprise me every time he shows up! Love it! Season finale next week.

Damn I can’t find the exact one, oh well. There’s also:
“You really want to know Ambassador? BOOM! Boom, boomboomboom, BOOM! Have a nice day.”- Ivanova to Mollari (or there abouts 😉 )

There’s a Heroes marathon this Saturday on SciFi. Eleven hours I think. Maybe I’ll finally see what the hoopla is about.

Ivanova: Ambassador, do you really want to know what’s going on down there?
Londo: Yes, absolutely!
Ivanova: Boom. Boom boom boom. Boom boom. Boom! Have a nice day!

It seems to be from the season 1 ep “A Voice in the Wilderness 2” — I’m about to add it to the wikiquote page.

Crunch, I can definately see how it would be tough to get into Heroes in the middle — they try to do decent “previously” blurbs, but it’s just a lot to cram in. I think you’d like it, though.
